Work Stool
Work Stool project unfolded as an exploration of manufacturing techniques and decentralized production. Rooted in the idea of enabling a craftsman to produce customisable stools predominantly using a CNC router, with minimal gluing and finishing, the concept aimed for broader accessibility. Crafted from plywood and finished with either stain or print, these stools share a foundation of three core components, offering extensive customization. The main challenge was to strike a balance, ensuring the project's scalability to encompass a range of customizable products while avoiding overambition. Designed for utility and reparability, the stools serve as a canvas for diverse expressions within a decentralized manufacturing landscape.
